I just KNEW you'd look like the gorgeous ADA on Law and Order.

You didn't actually answer the question.
I'm wondering why you're even debating this, actually. Deployment is a fact of military life. It's part of the job description. That is all anyone is saying.

But one thing can be more accurate than another thing. Which is what lauren said.
are you mistaken for alex (?? law and order),irl?
i could never wear shoes, bold like those but they look good on you.
<>
I'm guessing you meant to say employee?
I'd say it all depended on whether said employee was completing work accurately and on time. I'd say it depended entirely on the type of job the employee was doing. And I'd also say that number and length of posts aren't necessarily a direct reflection of the amount of time spent posting. Which, I believe was the point of my original post, and which seems to have escaped you entirely.
If someone is neglecting their work, then they are neglecting their work - whether they have a job or not.
The problem with the "internet time" argument is that EVERYONE who is posting could be using that time to do something else. It only comes up at all when someone is making a lame attempt to personally attack another poster.
no. this is what you said.........
>>So, I'll beat her to the punch. I can list a bunch of jobs that probably don't have internet access.
Service jobs -- Your average local beat cop, housekeeper, plumber, or construction worker probably doesn't have internet access at work
Entertainment -- Your average broadway producer, actor, chorus girl or prostitute probably doesn't have internet access at work
Retail -- Your average Target, WalMart or heck, even your local Hallmark clerk, probably doesn't have internet access at work <<
...you tried to beat me to some punch by indicating a list of jobs that don't allow internet access, including what mbanc called you on and the hallmark job you guessed wrong about. doesn't lauren1063 have a construction office job, too? what i'm speaking of are corporate jobs, call center environments (and more office specific jobs with computer specific programs) that limit *and* in some places, disallow all together internet access. his environment is certainly not unique, unlike some whose exceptions are found here.
your *probably* doesn't matter, either as your remark isn't related to what i said.....no punch happened!!
