No it isn't an insinuation. It is the truth. Anyone here that says they aren't wasting their employers time at work while posting on a message board isn't being honest. Like I asked someone else. How would you feel if the person caring for your children spent the same amount of time on the computer that you do while they had your children? I am not slamming you, I am just asking to look at how much time you spend here during working hours...(however much time that is) and then ask yourself if you would be ok with your DCP doing the same.

That isnt a slam either. When I am posting here I could be doing LOTS of other things. I am from time to time neglecting my children or my housework. I admit it. Doesn't reflect a thing on my character.

If I'd given her internet/email access and .... If the children were asleep? No problem imo. If the children were playing a game together on the floor by the computer? No problem. If the children were working on homework at their desks? No problem.

That really isn't relevant. What is relevant is whether or not MY boss is ok with me doing it. She is.

Has anyone disputed that they are any different? I have already said there are other thigns I could be doing. But those other things aren't any more productive. They're often just "busy" things, not meaningful things.

Good for you. I have neglected my housework for the internte at times; but I'd neglect my housework for just about anything. Tv, kids, games, sex, internet, chocolate ... Doesn't make me addicted to any of those things; just shows I hate housework.
I have, however, never *neglected* my children for the internet. There are times when I delay my response to my children, but at 10 and 6 I hardly think that if they wait 3 minutes for me start their bathwater or turn their jacket right-side-out that it constitutes neglect.
