For those of you that WOH and say you have to do it to make ends meet. Do you really do it to make ends meet or do you do it cause you want to keep up a certain lifestyle? Do you know how to live with out debt or without having to keep up with the joneses?

Since when are Early Childhood people and clergy "well paid"?

otherwise, no dispute with your post. And no dispute with its premise.

My pastor makes more a month than I do, and I am fairly well-paid. Our parent educators are paid about the same as an RN, hourly. I only know this because a friend of mine who is a preschool teacher has been trying to get on with the state for awhile now.

Why not? If a professional athelete can generate 10 million in sales for his franchise for his talent, why doesn't he "deserve" some double-digit percentage of what he generates? Same with an entertainer...should somebody else get the money he/she generates?

i agree.

my dad used to teach evening courses at the local college - i think he called it moonlighting. but that sounds sort of racey when you think about it.

Anyone who deals with time zones--either across the US or international. The manager of the bridal shop has to be at her desk right after dropping her kids off at school in order to order gowns since most of the bridal companies are East coast.

No matter how you slice it. We all waste time here. No one is fooling anyone here. I don't believe for a minute that one is on the clock and posting here isn't wasting time.

A lot of things here aren't anyone's business. Yet it doesn't stop others from commenting. It is just debating.

Dishonest?

I wasn't speaking directly at you. I was saying as a hypothetical.

Wow. That's out of my realm of experience. But of course, we all know how my church/religious experience is so vast. ;)

Yes, and maybe she tends to regard all others similarly.
