But volunteering doesn't make one a saint. . .or above question, debate, or reproach.

Those who serve in the military do a valuable service, but they (and their families) are just humans. . .

And while I wasn't here for the infertility issues blow up. . .the last time I checked infertility wasn't a choice, while military service and the deployments that go with it absoultely are CHOSEN.

SBA...I am going to stop this here with you. You seem to have a real problem debating what someone says without adding your own words and twists to the topic. I can't debate with someone that continually makes deliberate false statements about me, and my posts. Being a cl I thought you would know better than that. So I will let this go here.

I stand corrected... So, tell me again, what's the significance of a child crying when her dad picks her up? That she prefers you over him? And the significance of that would be...?

I see; he was late, and not following the agreed-upon scheduling. And what would that have to do with the OP, or any of the subthreads? I didn't know we were talking about parents who don't know how to follow a dc contract. Maybe you were ticked at him, and the little baby picked up on that, and that's why she cried? Is that the connection?

I see; it's not that you *wouldn't dream of* doing it, it's just that you *wouldn't * do it. Nor would you want your husband to do it. But if another parent does it, it's a problem because....???

Just because neither you nor your DH would do it doesn't make a parenting practice odd. Odd to you maybe, but not odd in general.

It wasn't me who made hints, suggestions and implications about dc and how bad it can be if.... I'm not sure at this point.... if people leave their kids in dc too long, which is vaguely defined... or if people pick up late, or later than you think they should... or those dc kids end up liking you more...

The problem with these non-specific slams against dc is that they're open to interpretation. You might want to be more clear next time.

So it's based on assumptions and not actual facts?
