For those of you that WOH and say you have to do it to make ends meet. Do you really do it to make ends meet or do you do it cause you want to keep up a certain lifestyle? Do you know how to live with out debt or without having to keep up with the joneses?

ETA Please excuse all my siggys. Obviously I dont know how to turn them off. I thought I did.

I did a few posts back. I guess you missed it so here it is again.

***Well considering there are an endless amount of parenting choices I don't think I could possibly be able to answer this question. Why would you even ask this anyway?***

<>

I made a clear observation and I do believe it is odd. What is your point?

<>

I already did. Yet you have asked a third time. Hmmm.

No I can see the similarity. Doesn't mean that wasn't the point I was trying to make. I believe I have stated the point I was trying to make. If you want to take this to something else, by all means. However I clarified what I was pointing out..

That same post also stated that these parents drop these children off and use every minute of the time the facility is open. That is where my point was very valid and totally related.

The employers?

Already answered you. See above.

I haven't read the responses yet, but my .02 on this is that most women who say they have to work DO have to work, yet it may appear that they are working to support the way they want to live.

Example: We could NOT live on DH's salary alone, yet we only need a certain amount of money from me (or vice versa) to be okay. My profession pays me a lot more than what we would "need" (i.e. just an example: if we could make all ends meet with my making $500/month, but I get $2000/month, it may appear to the outside world that I don't really "need" to work, which is not the case).

I know that to be true for a lot of working Moms. I also know that there is nothing at all wrong with wanting certain things for your kids (college funds, etc.) that may be facilitated by Mom and Dad working.

"Parents want daycares and schools raise their children but they will make up for it at the next holiday or birthday. Make sense?"

NO way. Parents do not want daycares and schools to raise their kids. Period.

So the parents who have to work don't want the dc/school to raise their kids, but the parents who do not "have" to work according want the dc/school to raise the kids?

Do you home school?

No, actually you changed the question and then stated you didn't think you could answer it.

Nice grasp but the point was 12-13 hours and using every minute of that time.

"Deployment is almost a guarantee."

No it is job dependent. There are some jobs that will never deploy.
