WOHM's who say they have to work

For those of you that WOH and say you have to do it to make ends meet. Do you really do it to make ends meet or do you do it cause you want to keep up a certain lifestyle? Do you know how to live with out debt or without having to keep up with the joneses?

Well, what is the difference between indulging one's whims and working on a directed passion? Can't they sometimes be the same thing?
A friend of mine who SAH is researching and writing a history book. It not only is her passion, when she works on it she is most certainly indulging a whim of hers.
Sure, no problem, I have no problems answering my own question, not at all.

didn't you say once that you like woh because you can't keep up with your child's energy? i guess i prefer to manage both - energy and involvemnet with my kid and down time instead of it wasting any of it at an employer's expense.

Wow, snarky! Well, despite the fact that what you wrote above has nothing to do with what I said...the fact that I can't keep up with my son's energy does not indicate that I *waste* anything. At anyone's expense. My posting here during work hours doesn't sap my energy, nor does being involved with my kid.
Interesting dig, though.
