The link I posted was very interesting. It showed, basically, that being deployed did NOT decrease re-enlistment rates and in fact, re-enlistment was higher for those that had multiple deployments.

Nope. In Oklahoma. Go figure!

Hmmm, maybe I should call him and tell him he imagined all that. Because, after all, only Texas has such programs.

Oh, okay, so the "they will" in your post does not include all of the men and women in the military in the US.

So, it's logical to say to say that others will not agree with what you posted.

Not one of these links proves that dyslexia IS a invisible word in our public schools...teachers claim they are adresssing the issue but the reality of it is they are not b/c they do not know how to.

Was the link intended to prove dyslexia is an invisible word? Who claimed the word was invisible in public schools?

Says you. *snort*.

Nonsense. That's the same logic used by dads out of wedlock when they claim they didn't choose parenthood, it's just that she lied, or the condom broke, or she could have had it fixed, blah, blah, blah. Doesn't stand up in a court of law because it's an obvious evasion. Some things just go with the territory you choose. It might be time to let this one go and make some new points that might be easier to defend.

I must jump in here to point out that you're not quite right: the proper analogy is to *sex of any kind*, protected or unprotected. Protection can fail, it can be misunderstood, people can be mistaken, and they can deceive. Sex between a man and a woman entails the risk of pregnancy, and enlisting entails the risk of death. Simple.

In the 70's they were even more ignorant on dyslexia...Im not claiming that they say they are adressing it and say they have programs but in reality they are not b/c most dont know how to, in reality.

Hmmm, guess I'll have to tell dh that his teachers were ignorant and really didn't address his dyslexia. Guess he should quit reading and writing at a non-dyslexic level, since his disorder wasn't ever really addresed.

If only he had lived in Texas ...
