I thought to be a C.O. one had to be against all war - not just *this* war. I can see that some people come to that conclusion after seeing it in person. I also thought that if one was a C.O. it didn't exclude one from performing other duties in the military. She could work at a military hospital stateside or in another non-war area- until her contract is up.

She maintains that her objection carries over to even those who have served in this war. She cannot even care for those injured in a war she feels is unjust. I will look for a link to the story...

But she can have an organization that believes in war and acts out the belief, pay for her schooling?

Answer this... would it be likely for someone to join the military and never expect to be deployed? The difference here is that driving a car carries a small risk of being in an accident. Joining the military carries a very high likelihood that someone will be deployed.

Percentage wise, the likelihood of getting in an accident if you choose to drive is far far far far less than the likelihood of being deployed if you choose to join the military.

Ok, you're right. They don't directly choose to be deployed. Now answer this..... would it be fair for someone who joins the military to expect NOT to be deployed at any time? Or do you think that they know it is most likely that they will be deployed?
