Doesn't change what I said.
You chose to drive. You don't chose to have an accident.
You chose to enlist. You don't chose to be deployed.

it only took a few clicks through that thread to find out what indeed initiated the disagreements with you,momof2....

.........calling someone on "....not knowing what they're talking about" (not surprising as it's become quite the signature line, though) ends up looking like a desperate note for attention, nothing more. mbanc is correct about the choice of military and you are wrong to assume otherwise.

Oh, life is a glorious cycle of song,
When you join the military you then must follow all the orders that they give you. That is a choice the consequence is that you must wear they uniform when they tell you to, do your hair the way they tell you to, work in the job they tell you to and do it in the state/country/city they tell you to. You have chosen to join the military and for the pay they give you let them make all these decisions for you. If you do not like that lifestyle then when your 4 or 6 is years is up you wave goodbye & don't reinlist.
When you get in a car and drive you know that it is possible that you may get in an accident. But there are ways to avoid it. Not speeding is one and using defensive driving techniques is another. When you see a car swerve into your lane there is a chance you can swerve and avoid the accident. They are not the same at all.
This is what she is talking about. I said that
That one choses to drive a car.
No one choses to have an accident.
One choses to join the military.
One doesn't chose to be deployed.
