I currently work and it is to pay the bills. Working to keep up with a certain lifestyle is a joke to me. In fact I wish I had that luxury. I do have a mortgage to pay along with utilities plus the upkeep of the house.
Recently I thought about taking some time off when I have my baby because my stupid job won't gaurantee that you have a position if you take over 3 months. My plan will be to take a min of 5 months off & if I don't have a job, then stay home with my baby until I can find another job closer to home & get adequate day care.
Believe me, working mothers don't have it easy and would love to be with their children but these !(@*& employers make it harder for you. Grant it, I wasn't expecting to take a paid leave for the entire time but at least let me have some kind of job security.

You must be a wonderful multi-tasker then.

Do you think accountants should be giving 100% attention to the task at hand?

Doesn't that depend on the task at hand? And why single out accountants?

"Doesn't that depend on the task at hand?"

It sure does.

"And why single out accountants?"

Because the poster that I was responding to is an accountant, correct?
