The board is slow, so I'm going to throw something out.

I find in many cases not many dads are at things with or for their children.

That was part of the question in the op.

Not necessarily and again as the op stated if they are using the time in the evening for family time, when does one find time alone with the kids.

<parents blocking time off work for breaks is different than only one having to do it.

I don't know....I think it is important, at least to me as well.

What is the difference of family time and time alone with the kids?

I am pretty sure that one of the benefits of being a SAHM is that they issue you a self-cleaning house, and that they teach you the secret of meals that take "no time at all" to cook. We poor WOHPs are stuck scrubbing toilets and chopping vegetables.

Not sure what you mean by block off time?

I am guessing that "family time" is when the whole family is hanging out together, and "alone time" is when a parent is spending one on one time with a kid. For many families, I think both are a priority.

I don't know, that's why I was asking, because for us if we are all at home....it's generally family time, not one on one time with the kids.

Forgive me for asking.
