ITA with you. You just don't know every wohm and sahm's situation. The sahm who gets a divorce with no job skills can live financially better than the wohm who has been working for years.

You actually might. It's not exactly coffee chit chat that a woman feeling those things would actually open to up everyone they know, about it.

"after all,bed slept in must be made too"

Ok so the women in shelters because they are in poverty & have been abused by their dh's to them you would say . . . you made your bed, you lie in it? (I think that's closer to the actual saying).

best friend's ex did EXACTLY that. He was part-owner in an automobile junkyard but has managed to work it out so that it shows that he earns NO income.

<<The sahm who gets a divorce with no job skills can live financially better than the wohm who has been working for years. >>

HOW do you figure that? AND in THIS economy where there are almost NO jobs to be had?

I think it has to do with net worth rather than income. I think that Tiger Wood's wife was a nanny before their marriage and a SAH since I think that if she does decide to divorce him her lack of work history will not be an issue in supporting her family.

It really pretty much all comes down to money. Those that have it have an easier time in many aspects of life including divorce than those that don't. That is regardless of work status. Those that do not need to work are really not effected by lack of jobs to be had.

awhile back we were watching one of those "entertainment" gossip shows and they were talking about some famous couple who was getting divorced and the woman was going to have to "manage" on something upwards of $75,000 per month. I just couldn't feel sorry for her, lol!

<<That all depends on how much she gets in the divorce settlement and how fast she can (if she needs to) get a job. >>
