So with all these things added to schools now, you don't think there is still problems at schools? Problems like drugs, alcohol, smoking, teen sex, teen pregnancy, bullying, gangs?

Why do you keep asking me to backup things I never said? Please react to the words I write, not to things you imagine I'm saying.

I have not indicated, in any way, that there are not problems such as drugs, alcohol, smoking, teen sex, teen pregnancy, bullying, gangs.

Yes, I feel boys are safer than girls in certain situations, walking in the dark is definately one of them. If it was up to my dh, she wouldn't be allowed to walk in the dark alone until she was 35-lol!! Seriously though, I do think it is safer to walk in groups instead of by themselves.

At what age would you find it ok for your dd to walk, alone in the dark?

I am not imagining anything. I am simply quoting what you stated that society has changed.

So if these problems still DO exist, how do you think the change in society has affected them?

No, you have asked me to provide backup on things I didn't say.

I haven't really thought about how the changes in society have affect these things. I haven't studied that or researched it. So, I don't know ...

I think a double standard is having two different sets of rules, it's only unjust for one side, don't you think?

So I guess none of these changes has affected the way kids have and can still get in trouble at school and in society. Thanks :)

I think it's only a double standard if the difference in rules is based upon unrelated or irrelevant things.

Is this a trick question? I don't expect to let either my boys or girl to walk alone in the dark while they are under my supervision. What the do after 18 is their choice. BTW - I usually walk nightly, in the dark, alone, with a big goofy dog, so my answer is 53 as I'm safe as kittens.

I don't think a walk in the dark is inherently dangerous, I think there is much more danger in peer interactions, e.g. date rape, peer pressure to break the rules.

I didn't state that. Please, quit making stuff up.
