Hi all, I'm new around here.

I had my son Brady 3 months ago and after 12 weeks of Maternity Leave, I am now back at my 2nd week of work.

To each their own. To me, getting a sustained cardio workout several times a week is important to keep my heart and other systems healthy.

And for people who need, want, desire to workout on a regular basis and can make it happen, I think that's great.

Just wait until you hit the mid 40's.

I think it varies a lot. I am heavier now in my 40s than I was in my 20s, but I can still maintain a reasonable weight simply by eating 3 squares and walking for my various errands during the day. If I had the discipline to walk a full hour a day at a good clip, I could probably drop 5 pounds. But, I do realize that I am pretty lucky that way.

I saw an interesting cartoon at my MIL's assisted living center this weekend.

"Well, which can you work into your daily routine easier? One hour of daily exercise or 24 hours of being dead?"

Exercise is a family thing here. If the boys want extra tv- they get on the treadmill.

Being fit is more than size. There are plenty of unfit skinnies and fit larger sized folk for examples.

And I'm not totally ambivalent to exercising.
