? for working moms

My son is six months old, and I have been back to work full time for four weeks.

I became upset over the weekend when two people (who are very close to me) made comments such as: "it seems like it would be so much easier to drop your kids off at daycare and work full time than to stay home", and even worse, "it's clearly easier to work and have someone else raise your kids than stay home". Both were stated by mothers who have never been in the position of working full-time with children. I disagree thoroughly with both comments (my life is certainly NOT easier now that I'm back to work!)

So... without stiring up the hornet's nest that is the "mommy war"... I am curious, how can I respond to statements like this? Should I respond, or just let it go? How long does it take to get over hearing hurtful things like this?

Any thoughts are appreciated!

<NY State has the LAST say. The employer tells the state WHY this person was let go and from what they report is how the state determines. If the reason is NOT what is state determines to not deny benefits, then the employee will get benefits. >

So what are you saying?

No, that is incorrect, they have the only say.

True but that goes for all kids in school unless they have a friend or family member that can pick them up from the busstop after school.

So you are saying that they just make stuff up to make sure that the employee either gets or does not get UE?

I get that...never mind... I was trying to make a conversational change from unemployment rules...
"If gay Americans are not allowed to get married and have all the benefits that American citizens are entitled to by the Bill of Rights, they should get one hell of a tax break. That is my opinion,"

I am not going to continue to debate this as it is going nowhere and you obviously do not have experience with getting unemployment, knowing someone who got unemployment or being close enough to an employer who has gone through this and you know how the procedure goes.

That would be incorrect, on all counts.

I suggest you read this website, it's also very clear and fully supports my viewpoint.

Here, the application, rather than the interview, is logged.
