What do you think? Should parents be able to bring their young babies to work with them?

Don't know since I did not breastfeed after going back to work. I am speaking about a co-worker whom I knew very well and saw what she did.

Why would she be only pumping every

Where'd you get that? Nothing in her post indicated that. She certainly didn't state it.

It depends on the mother's supply, but if she does not have interruptions to her pumping schedule and is using a double electric breast pump, then it should take approximately 15 minutes per pumping session.

However if she regularly goes for long periods of time between pumping session, supply decreases, in which case it takes longer and longer to get the same amount of milk. I used to be able to pump about 16 ounces in 15 minutes, but once my schedule made it difficult to pump every few hours, it was only about a month before it would take me 30 minutes to get 5 ounces.

I did this every weekday morning, pump on one side, baby on the other, and then in the evening when we got home, I did the same but switched sides.

So maybe large, corporate law firms are not the right environment for bringing your baby to work. That doesn't mean that those types of working environments don't exist anywhere.
