Favorite Christmas song?

What is your last work day of the year?

Have you ever gone away for Christmas?  Not as in visiting family but on a vacation.

Favorite Christmas song? Even though I'm not religious, I love What Child Is This? and The First Noel

What is your last work day of the year? 12/20

Have you ever gone away for Christmas?  Not as in visiting family but on a vacation. Nope.  The first year after my grandmother passed away, my aunt went on a safari to Africa.  She almost always takes some kind of trip for Christmas.

Probably Have yourself a merry little Christmas by Judy Garland.

What is your last work day of the year?

I've flown on Christmas after brunch with family several times.

Favorite Christmas song?

So many. I love Christmas music. "Do you hear what I hear" is one of my favorite songs about Jesus, and Bruce Springsteen's "Santa Claus is comin to town" is another favorite. I still crack up when he is laughing at the end.

What is your last work day of the year?

December 31st. lol I'm taking a few vacation days here & there but will be working 2-3 days per week during the next 2 weeks.

No, but I work in a beach hotel and we are sold out the week between Christmas and New Year every single year. To each their own!

Favorite Christmas song?

I don't really have a favorite.  There are some that I love (Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas is the big one) but that make me very emotional so I kind of avoid them.  I have Christmas issues, big time.

What is your last work day of the year?

The 31st.  We close the office that day but for the end of the year's antics, the boss and I are usually here all day until about 8 pm.

No, but we are considering it next year.  May also do some weekend getaways on the weekends before and after Christmas this year.  I guess we should decide for sure about this weekend, huh?LOL

Favorite Christmas song?  O Holy Night, when sung at 9pm Mass on Christmas Eve by the professional opera singer who is a parishioner at my church.  It's so beautiful it brings tears to my eyes.  I also like Silent Night.

What is your last work day of the year?  I don't work

Have you ever gone away for Christmas?  Not as in visiting family but on a vacation.  As an adult, I don't recall ever taking a vacation at Christmas as I prefer to spend that time with extended family.  However, the year dh and I were getting serious, I flew out to San Francisco to meet his entire family on Christmas Day, then two days later, moved (to be with him) to Hawaii.  That was like being on vacation, even though I did work for the seven months I lived there.  However, the first two weeks I was there, I didn't work, so I guess it could count as vacation.

1.. I love. "Oh Holy Night" sung well. Sung badly, it's a crime against humanity. 2. My schedule is pretty much my own over the next month. There is work to be done (plenty of it, actually), but no classes to teach until after Martin Luther King Day. I will go in today for a few hours, but don't have anything mandatory and work-related on the calendar until 21 December. 3. Never vacationed over Christmas, but we did move across country over Christmas once. It was my older son's first Christmas. We had Christmas dinner in a truckstop in Arizona. It was like something from a bad country song.

One Christmas a few years ago we decided to drive home on Christmas day which we'd never done before but decied to try and do b/c my two younger kids were in a church paegent Christmas eve night.  I was surprised by the number of people at the rest stops along the road, It didn't even feel like Christmas day and my heart went out to the workers there, We were extra generous to the lady at Subway and tipped her.
