1. No

2.  They are legal to both purchase and use in rural areas but not in incorporated cities but that does not stop from many in the cities from setting them off.  We do not buy them.  We have only purchased them once, when wel ived in a place where it was legal.

3, I will be off 5 days next weekend.   Three because of the holiday and the additional two becasue of DD1's surgery.

1.  Yes.  2.  Not in the city limits, but they are legal in the county.  I don't buy them but my boys probably will and will shoot some off with friends.  3.  As many as I want.

1.  You mean like BBQs or fireworks?  Not really.  John and DIL and the baby are with the Ex and his wife and kids at her property at the lake several states away--she inherited the place when her dad died.  They will be there until next Saturday.  I'm off until the 7th (SM Geek Fest and then just extended the time off until after the 4th) and will be getting some projects done around the house (I want to paint the kitchen cabinets) and of course, spend lots of time in the sewing room.  And of course, I'll be playing my 1776 DVD at least once on Friday.

2. Yes. there are some limitations but I have no idea what they are--I don't do pyrotechniques, although I have no objection to those who do.  The folks on my street celebrate every major event with fireworks and have been shooting stuff off nearly every weekend since Memorial Day.  I'll likely go hang in the street with a beer or two with my neighbors while they celebrate on Friday. :)

3.  We get the federal holiday.  I usually take extra time in or around that weekend.

1. Yep, lots.... it will be a busy day. 2. They are legal to buy for the week leading up to the 4th. They are legal to use only on the 4th. 3. Define "day off", lol.

Oh yeah, I don't buy them... To me, it seems like such a waste.

3. Define "day off", lol.

If you have a job, not working as the company gives you the day off, usually paid.

I meant that to be funny, not literal.  ;)
