I get a headstart from being across the pond.

1. Fall is here, looking back, what was your favorite summer outfit this year? Post a pic if you can.

2. Do you have a favorite winter jacket, coat or sweater that you are looking forward to wearing?

3. Where will you be for Thanksgiving, and with whom?

1. I don't really have any "summer outfits" per se. I went down a size this summer and had to buy some new things but they are things I will hope to transition into the fall. I bought a blank and white tweed trumpet skirt that I am having fun with. 2. No winter outfit can make me look forward to cold weather. Not one. 3. I am thinking we will be at home. With extended family plus I always issue a blanket invitation to any grad students who might not be able to get home for the holidays; in the past that's been between 2 and 6 students, sometimes with spouses.

I lived in a lot of shorts and tshirts, sleeveless and short sleeved.  No, I don't like Winter and I'm not looking forward to any of it.   Thanksgiving will be spent with family, Do you celebrate it mops?

1.  None.  My summer is pretty much shorts, sleeveless tops.

2.  Do not look forward at all to having to wear jackets.

3.  Will be with DH, DDs, some boyfriends and ILs.  Not sure of the where.  We have hosted all of the Thanksgivings since we moved here 15 years ago except for one year when the IL's took us to a restaurant.  They want to do that this year unless they are out of town.  I do not think there are plans to be out of town but they sometimes have family obligations.

1. Fall is here, looking back, what was your favorite summer outfit this year? Post a pic if you can. A white jacket my mom got on a sample sale. I will try to attach a pic.

2. Do you have a favorite winter jacket, coat or sweater that you are looking forward to wearing? I made a black jacket of boiled wool last winter, and I look forward to wearing it again soon.

3. Where will you be for Thanksgiving, and with whom? Not sure. Usually we celebrate with a group of ex-pats, but there was talk last year of not having it anymore. I insisted last year, pulling the cancer card, but now that I am all better, i am not sure. We always celebrate it in some way, since 2 out of the 3 of us are Americans. I also just like the spirit of it.

"except for one year when the IL's took us to a restaurant. They want to do that this year unless they are out of town." ---------- Sounds like a deal to me.

" I bought a blank and white tweed trumpet skirt that I am having fun with." -------- That sounds very nice.

"No, I don't like Winter and I'm not looking forward to any of it." -------- It is easier here, because we do not have snow and ice, just much cooler weather really. It can get sort of unpleasantly windy and cold sometimes, but almost never gets below freezing. It is similar to the climate somewhere like San Francisco.

Both jackets are nice, Roll. I especially like the black one. I have a new-to-me winter coat this year that is very elegant and dressy but it is kind of sad because it originally belonged to a friend of mine who died last summer. She was a beautiful natural redhead who had bought this deep green coat at the end of last winter on sale. It looked stunning on her but she only got to wear it a few times. She told her husband before she died to give it to be because she knew I'd be able to fit into it come winter (it is a smaller size than I have worn for awhile). I fit into it OK now in terms of size but she was about 5'8 and I am just over 5'2. I am also not sure about the color on me.
