(Totally OT, not SAH/WOH related, so feel free to not respond)
I went out with 5 other women to dinner last night.

Really? It looked like an explanation of how to separate eight checks with the click of one button to me.

That is exactly what it is but the fact is you cannot split eight checks thru one button.
The examples prove nothing more than it takes more then one click to seperate a check. You cannot even open a check with more than one click.

I never claimed to know how to run a restaurant. I know how to code invoicing software, which is basically what a restaurant POS is.
Why are you presuming to know more than a software engineer? Can you do my job? no. Can i do yours? No. I can write software, I can visualize the code and how it will pull information out of your database and separate it onto individual printouts.
Claiming that you know more than ANY software engineer about the job they trained for, is laughable.
Fact is, you do not know more than I do on coding. FACT.
i know, You do not understand the comprehension of owning your own place!

Unless you have used every program out there, you cannot say that as a fact.
However, if any one person has used any one program that will split checks with one click, then that person CAN say it as fact.
You need to relax iam not talking about coding, or knowing more that you! LMAO! Iam talking about my buisness and what i know. That is that you cannot split eight checks in one hit of a button!
Gee, this is a quote directly from the manufacturer of a restaurant POS system:
"For combined, split and separate checks, one touch is all it takes to create those checks."
ONE TOUCH IS ALL IT TAKES. Yep, that's what it says. ONE TOUCH IS ALL IT TAKES.
I think I'll believe the makers of Squirrel Systems. http://squirrelsystems.com/solutions/pos.html#tableservice
Maybe you should try their software. You might learn a few things.
