(Totally OT, not SAH/WOH related, so feel free to not respond)

I went out with 5 other women to dinner last night.

And likely shall. Regardless, while technically you are correct, you are also dead wrong. There is NOTHING that obligates a customer to do the manager's job. No customer is obligated to report bad staff to the manager. While it's certainly nice of someone to do, it's not something the customer HAS to do.

Many of us prefer to "vote with our feet"--after all, a comped meal or dessert isn't really worth much in a poorly managed restaurant.

Why do I get the feeling you debate using a vorpal sword?

Edited as "with a vorpal sword" could be misleading.

Yes, both of our places are in seasonla resort/type areas. The one we are opening in just a few weeks :) is in a smaller community that is not as busy, but, there are no decent resturaunts around. We are opening in a third which will be a franchise of the place we are opening now and we will be in the heart of the resort area after we get this new up and one running for a year.

Um cashing out a table of split checks is most definetley a part of the entire transaction of splitting checks. Your post confirms the fact you have no idea what you are talking about.

The example you gave would take up more time then actually splitting checks, it would also incude much more than one click of a button.

Like i said there is nothing to debate, im done.

Take care!

Nah, Iam not technically dead wrong or am i talking about poorly managed resturaunts. I dont go to a poorly mamaged resturaunt so as you i would not want my food comped b/c i would not return.

Iam talking about the customer.

Um, i already told you there is nothing left to debate. I know that you cannot split checks with one hit of a button, i think it was you who confirmed that and stated it is as easy as one hit of a button.

Have a great day!

No, you read right. Our sales tax is 8.25%, 8% state and 2.25 city. The city tax would vary thoughout the state but that is what it is in my city.
