(Totally OT, not SAH/WOH related, so feel free to not respond)

I went out with 5 other women to dinner last night.

I never denied that. I agreed, all along, that it did require more work. However, I've consistently stated that I believe the "more work" created isn't undue or unreasonable; that the extra work created is something that, in most cases, is worth the effort and can be done cheerfully, with out causeing harried and stressed out wait staff.

FANTASTIC, im glad to hear you dont have a problem, also happy you have a sense of humor, however, it really should be no concern to you who i decide to agree to disagree with and who i continue to post to or i dont.

I assume you're speaking *in your experience* or only in *your geographical area* ... right?

AGain, I hope you're speaking only for yourself or your area. That certainly isn't the way things are viewed around here.

I lived on teh East Coast for over 7 years. I requested split checks quite often. I was also offered split checks quite often. While I'm not doubting what you have experienced, it is NOT universal, nor even standard on the East Coast.

Yep. Around here the bar is busier than the restaurant a good part of the time. College town and all.

Or, as I have done quite often, pull the waitress aside at the beginning and say "I'm paying. Please put it all on my tab."

Then, if another diner in your party asks about the check (either at the beginning or at the end), the waitress can simply say "It's been taken care of."

But cashing out the check is something you would have to do whether you split the check or not. Therefore, it's irrelevant. June never once said you could do the ENTIRE TRANSACTION with on click. She said you could split the check (and ONLY split it, nothing else) in one click.

It isn't a concern. It's just down right hilarious.

Unless of course, you're trying to tell me I don't have the right to have an emotion or opinion about posts that aren't addressed to me.

Again. With YOUR software.

I've SEEN software with my own eyes where you do not have to go to new screens. You can punch in a seat # next to each line on an invoice if you so felt like it. TADAAAAAAAAAAAA! All on one table, but on different seats. THEN one button prints out a different check for each seat.

I know you are going to dispute this and say I am wrong... Do you claim every single software out there you have to go to new screens every single time? Then you must have spend weeks testing software.

YOUR software works like you described. the software i SAW works like how I described.

Sorry, it's not a lynch mob, it's just that your position is so ludicrous that not one person has agreed with you. Don't you think that tells ya somethin?
