Im sorry but ppl judge everyday of their lives expecially when they are dealing with the type of customers they want in their establishment.

"When he is only a waiter" , agian i see that as the mentality of ppl.

IMO, How pathetic. Most waiter/waitresses who are professional are very good at what they do and make a very stable and successful living.

Your attitude is EXACTLY why we do not allow ignorant customers to make demands on our staff. In our buisness ppl stand in line cuz they want in, they want to be seen, they want to eat or drink at the place, they follow our policy. If a customer came into our place as got rude about "only a waiter" they would be barred.

just out of curiosity - because i really am baffled at the idea of routinely splitting checks up - even if the customer doesn't ask for that, i have a scenerio for you, perhaps you could clear this up for me a bit.

lets say a waitress gets a five top, an adult female (mid forties) and adult male (early 50's) - both are wearing wedding bands, a teenaged girl, and teenaged boy (could be 17-19 years in age), and an adolescent girl. she's very busy, and forgets to ask how the party wants their check prepared, and no one says anything about it in all the hubub.

how would the check be prepared?

Normally if someone is untrustworty i do not break bread with them, If it someone i would not see agian, i would mark it up to, i paid for the dinner, they may do the same next time i see them.

<.

I remember as a kid those were mom and dad's favorite places, in my area it is not the norm, those types of eating establish go under or are bought out.

Up to par? You expect a waiter to always do as you insist to be a up to par? IMo that is a spoiled brat.

So in your opinion when a business tells you no, you have been mistreated?

Everyones experiences are different than yours in general. Tell me how a waiter/ress telling you no you cannot have seperate checks is wrong on the staffs part or the resturanunts part? Why do you get to decide what is best for the buisness and the staff, other than b/c you say so. If you want to be served you have to follow the rules of the establishment, otherswise go elsewhere. That goes with any business.
