Almost June

The year is just flying by, can't believe it is almost June already.

1. Do you have many celebrations in the month of June?

2. What one alcoholic drink (if you can pick just one) do you enjoy in the summer?

3. At a BBQ, which one would you rather have, a hot dog or hamburger?

A wedding reception is quite different from a HS graduation reception.  Also, consider that many of the folks there had also been in attendance at the actual graduation ceremony the night before for well over 2 hours.

"Ok, ANY party then lol" --------- OK, the only time I can recall being served heros at a "party" was at a birthday party for 3yos held outdoors somewhere. The hostess had gotten one of those yard-long heros that you slice to serve.

I guess in your neck of the woods. HS graduation receptions here are just like wedding receptions as they are held in catering halls or homes and are many hours long. Heck, Sweet Sixteens are just like weddings lol.

Me too, my friends just don't feel the need or want to supplement what I make...interesting that yours do.

How do you manage to have that long of graduation parties when all the kids are graduating the same day and they all want to be at each other's parties?  Honestly, I hate graduation weekend because we typically have anywhere from six to eight parties to attend over the course of four days.  The years when we had kids graduating was even worse!  This year we went to twelve different parties graduation weekend.  There is no way we could have stayed at any one of them for four to five hours.

We'd been celebrating for 3-4 days ... any more than about 2 hours would have been overkill.  And, again, the guest of honor had other places to be, a did many of the guests, since many were friends with multiple graduates.

Yes, the fruit tray runs low...you add more from the frig.  One casserole is eaten, you bring out a fresh one.   The veggie tray is out of carrots, you add more.

I ask again, haven't you ever been to  large event where food is brought out fresh on a routine basis?

Yea, well that would require reading the posts and then retaining that memory.  Again, this is why I literally lol anytime Molly uses "her memory" as a point in the discussion, lol.

But you would think that anyone who has been to any type of large gathering would have noticed someone swapping out dishes on the table for fresh ones on a routine basis.  Every party I was at this weekend I saw either the hosts or helpers adding more food to trays, adding more ice to the drink bucket, and so forth.

Some are like that here, they vary really between a lot of different venues.  I've been to catering halls, homes, parks and community centers.  Some are just a couple of hours and some are all evening, just really depends.  Some kids don't have them at all, some have more than one.
