With all these talk about going from homes to apartments, I wondered how many people think:

1. Going from a home to an apartment is moving "down" in life. (I am not speaking of after the kids grow up and you sell your home to OWN an apartment/condo/townhouse, but a family that owns a home and then sells it to rent an apt.)

2. What are the advantages when you own something and have equity and then go to giving someone else your money to pay THEIR bills?

3. How bad would it have to be living in your home to make the decision to do this?

4. What advantages and/or disadvantages are there to living in an apartment vs living in

You're nicer than I am -- my response would have been "give me theiir numbers and they can go with Liza to the arcade/bowling alley/hairsalon "

Well that's a really bad attitude. There are many people who can't have children who would love to spend all their time with children and not get "annoyed" that they have to be with them and their friends for 2 hours. Do you have any experience with couples like this as I know many and it is very sad.

But my dh and I enjoy to do these things with our kids. They are only going to be young for awhile and while they let us still hang out with them (lol!) we intent to do so.

Again here's the point. Here's you missing it. I do stuff like that with Liza too -- when it's OUR family time. but I don't need to do it with a dozen other sugared up kids .... and not wanting to hang out and eat pizza off of Cheetah Girls plates doesn't mean we don't like children - so don't thinkg the 'but some people can't Haveeeee babieeessssss' cry is gonna make me slap myself on the forehead and say 'by god she's right what I have been missing all these wasted years"

Team Hilary all the way baby. I didn't decide until I'd seen the top four in person. I'm speaking of course of the democrats. The republican candidates are just a nuisance ...I view them the same way I view all the cars with NY liscence plates and skis on them on a friday afternoon - something in the way of me getting where I want to be.

It was close between hilary and Richardson but Hilary swayed me. She's my candidate next Tuesday.

I have worked with at least 10 infertile couples very closely over the past 12 years. I also know many others outside of work. I know what they go through and they would do anything to be able to have children.
