With all these talk about going from homes to apartments, I wondered how many people think:
1. Going from a home to an apartment is moving "down" in life. (I am not speaking of after the kids grow up and you sell your home to OWN an apartment/condo/townhouse, but a family that owns a home and then sells it to rent an apt.)
2. What are the advantages when you own something and have equity and then go to giving someone else your money to pay THEIR bills?
3. How bad would it have to be living in your home to make the decision to do this?
4. What advantages and/or disadvantages are there to living in an apartment vs living in

Why would you do games at Chuckie Cheese, that's the beauty of having a party there, just feed the kids then they take off and play!
The same way the multiple adults you
Yeah well, that's just, ya know, like, your opinion, man-The Big Lebowski
Silly! Children must never, ever, ever be allowed one single second of their lives to play with other children WITHOUT Mommy standing right THERE, sharing every single NANOSECOND of time with them!!! What if they went to a party and had fun WITHOUT MOMMY?!? What if they learned that they can entertain themselves? The world would end! Civilization would crumble! Don't you know all the greatest coming of age movies, all the greatest kid movies involve children depending on Mommy for EVERY. SINGLE. DECISION?!? isn't that the common denominator in such classics as ET, Stand By Me and Bridge to Terabithia? The constant Presence of Mommy?

Yes. We. Did.
"I would not leave my 2 kids with even my sister just for a bday party. I don't find that fair to the parents having the party. They are not your free babysitter so you can do what you want for 2-3 hours. YOU should be watching your child(ren) at a party. I had one parent leave her dd at my dd's bday party. She is a co-worker so I know her well but her child was so needy and hung on me during my dd's party. Why was that fair? She got a free babysitter for 2 hours so she could go and do whatever she wanted. "
If the parents having the party don't want to watch the children they're inviting, then they shouldn't invite them.
