so a friend and me were talking ugg boots, she asked if my kids had them and i said yes, mentioning that even on clearance they are expensive as i bought them two years ago off season!

There is not 1 shoe in my girls' life that they were wearing 2 years ago that still fit them now.

my mother was the same way about labels, i don't know how old i was when i wanted calvin klein jeans, that money was not going to come from her and i remember saving a lot of babysitting money for those 30.00 or so jeans, Lol. i feel the same way about things with my kids, i don't think i've done that yet with anything, my kids needed boots just like tehy need sneakers for school, and i pay a decent amount for those too.

Knockoffs aren't illegal but counterfeit items are and there is a difference.

Wow, $100 for tween boots....didn't you get upset one time about spending $100 on running shoes?

i spend good money for shoes, i remember spending 50.00 for stride rite when my kids were smaller, too. what does that have to do wtih the 80.00 my husband spends for running shoes every three months? that's a lot of money too, have i denied otherwise?

The only boots my kids have ever needed was when the younger one was delivering papers in the wintertime, and one time I had to buy hiking boots for one of them going off on a wilderness camp.

I'm not someone who would be likely to refer to anything by its brand name.
