Do you arrive for work, doctor appointments, social events, etc on time?  What events (if any) warrant being early for?  Is there anything you purposely show up late for?  Explain.

How about your kids?

Work?  I like to be 20 to 30 minutes early in order to transition into work mode.  Doctor appts?  I'm usually on time, unless this is my first visit to a doctor and then I'll show early for paperwork.  There are some things I show up late for.  I have no intention of explaining.

I also see no reason to discuss John with you.  You don't even like me using his name, so why would I confide in his personal habits with you?

Inspired by a tv show today! :)

Yes, If I know I have to be somewhere I make the time to get there on time, Rarely am I late unless an emergency or traffic inconvenience prevents it. I like to get to church b/w 15 and 20 minutes before mass starts. I use the hour a picnic or social gathering starts as a gauge but I typically arrive within 10 or 15 minutes of it.

My kids like to get to school early and catch up with friends in the cafeteria. They also like to be on time for school dances - To squeeze as much time as they can from them I guess, Lol. Dance, horseback and ball don't conflict with anything so they are there on time too. Doctor appointments are a toss up esp if I have to pull my kids out of school for them.

Early or on time for almost everything. Dh hates when people are late. It is very disrespectful. The only time we would be late would be a party that doesn't require you to be on time, like when we went out for drinks and food this weekend with friends. We were only about 5-10 minutes late though. Kids are learning from us to be on time.

I think it may be in part because of our military training but we are always on time.  In fact we  are often the first to arrive to social events.  The only time we are ever late is when there is a traffic issue.

Placing your own schedule above anybody else's is rude and that was the topic today on the show I watched. I am thinking how nonchalant some kids are that show up late for school, Habitual tardiness is a real problem at some schools. I agree kids learn time management from parents too.

People are very rude. The worst is businesses. They say they are open at a certain time and the people are just walking in at that time or getting ready. You should be ready for business at that very minute.

Your dads service was before you were born wasn't it?  My kids grew up as BRATS and had no problem with military time.

My first Jon's time clock was military time so I still know that 6:00 is 1800 hours lol. Not that you can't figure that out but it is something I just remember from 25 years ago lol.

I am chronically early -- by at least 15 minutes to everything -- theater i'm always there at least by 1/2 hour to curtain when i'm in the audience.. when i'm performing and I have a call 90 minutes before curtain i'll be there 2 hours before-- i can't help it.. even when I TRY to be late I can't... the one thing i've mastered is getting the girl to school exactly on time... everythign else.. super duper early
