This is about as complete a resource for the depth and breadth of what's wrong with Gary Ezzo's "teachings" not the least of which is that two separate churches have excommunicated him for his failure to submit to church leadership, one of which declared him unfit for Christian ministry.
(And lest your friend assure you she's not Christian, she's doing Babywise and not Growing Kids God's Way, assure her the only difference between the two references is that Babywise has been purged of the faulty exegesis that is used to support his teachings in GKGW.)
Prior to iVillage's current crop of CM's undermining and then eliminating the Ezzo debate boards entirely (aka back when Parentsplace still owned them), it was a wealth of information and links.
Here is a link to the defunct board and what archives may remain there: http://messageboards.ivillage.com/iv-ppezzo
Oh, wow, that's really scary. Honestly, I think I'd just tell her that if she's really interested in "growing kids God's way" she's better off just reading the Bible and using it for guidance. God really does want us to use our brains when it comes to parenting...and everything else.
""Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD"
She's not religious.

I hope you don't mind my popping up to make a small suggestion.
I agree with everything you wrote re: Ezzo.
"It is right to be contented with what we have, but never with what we are."
Thanks!
