DH's mother is not recovering as well from her surgery (post below) as we had hoped so he is headed back there. This time I will not be going with him.

It will be the first time in 27+ years that I have "lived" completely alone. The other times he has gone away since DD1 was born I have had a kid with me.

I'm so sorry that your MIL is not doing well. My prayers are with her
and your DH's family.

I really should work on the yard, the weeds have taken over. Not much aside from that.

I am sorry for the reason, but enjoy your time. Call some girlfriends and have a girl's night out. :) Hip breaks, after a certain age, are really difficult to mend. How long will your DH be gone?

We don't know. I think the hip itself is doing well (or as well as can be expected). The issue she is having is she is running a fever. She cannot be released from the hospital and sent back to the nursing home until 24 hours after that breaks.

Hugs and more hugs. Sending healing vibes too. How is she bearing up?

Latest update on DMIL. Yesterday she moved from the hospital back to the nursing home.

She is doing much better. She already was doing better than she was last Sunday when we left but being in an environment that seems more familiar to her has made it much better.

He will be coming back home tomorrow.

What a relief, and enjoy your Easter with your family.
