Beliefs and other musings

I was sitting here contemplating the the post by Kristi and the post by Charlesmama, wondering what my own personal beliefs about life, death and souls are. I am Catholic by birth and raised, but I don't really practice anymore. I guess I believe in the Guff(sp?) aka the well of souls, I think that there are a finite amount of souls and are they "recycled".

I don't really have a direction for this just musing at the loss of a life and the recent birth of a new one in this little community.

I'll muse with you - I've been thinking about this as well. In my office alone, one gal lost her father this holiday season to a sudden heart attack and another gal at work had her first baby.

It is curious how these things work sometimes . . .

Reminds me of Seinfeld's Even Steven episode. Elaine becomes intrigued by Jerry's theory that he is on a break-even roll. That is to say, what he loses on one hand he gains in the other. She impulsively asks him for $20, rushes to Jerry's apartment window and smugly flings the legal tender streetward. No matter. Within minutes, Jerry finds a loose , long-forgotten $20 in the pocket of his jacket - just one of several funny bits that convince Seinfeld he's "even-Steven." .

I know this was a "serious musings" thread, but I just couldn't help myself!

Choose your friends by their character and your socks by their color.  Choosing your socks by their character makes no sense and choosing your friends by their color is unthinkable.
