1. Did you do any shopping yesterday or today?

2. Do you have any leftovers? What is your favorite?

3. Do you have a budget for holiday gifts?

"So you DO have separate accounts but can't figure out why someone would have a separate account for Christmas? Bawhhhaaa..." Sure we have separate accounts for money we don't need right away - because those accounts pay higher interest. That is the advantage. That's why I asked whether Christmas Club accounts paid higher interest. That would be an advantage.

"Why would you not proofread your posts? " Because you are willing to do it for me!

"Yep and then people put money in IRA's, money markets, CD's, etc. I didn't think a Christmas club was a foreign concept to anyone, especially someone who claims they are so good with money. I would have thought that would have been researched many years ago." I did research if years ago and couldn't come up with any advantage to having one. That is why I never understood the appeal of them.

Willing? Not really. It is just really hard to read what you are trying to say when you don't proofread it first.

You researched it but didn't know if it got more interest? Yeah, ok.

Because some like to read the old fashioned way... Picking up a book?

But why would you want a Kindle if you don't like to read?

And, FTR, having a Kindle doesn't mean one doesn't ever read a paper book.  It's quite possible to do both (not at the same time, lol).

Are you referring to my TJ Maxx holdbacks?  No ... I didn't have them held, with a downpayment, because I couldn't afford them today ... I had them held because they'll be cheaper next week and they might be gone if I wait until then.

"You researched it but didn't know if it got more interest? Yeah, ok." Well, I was optimistic. I thought maybe something had changed.

<p>Actually, it was SavCal's son who doesn't really enjoy reading that started the discussion. One of my kids isn't much of a fiction reader either. I don't "get it" but there you go. Yep. he goes in spurts - will enjoy a series or two and read for a while and then won't again for a long time.    There's no real benefit in a Kindle for him - it won't save us money and it won't be more convenient for him.
