Board Addiction!

Okay. I am ready to admit that this board is becoming highly addictive.

Because most of the WAH that I do is on the computer, it always starts out rather innocently. I get the kids going in something like play-doh or paints at the table next to me. Simple enough? Nope. I find I HAVE to open this board, always, *just to take a peek* as I work. I back and forth from the kids, my work, and this board. It's not that this board is really taking too much time away from my life, it's that I am not doing the research that I used to for my work as quickly as I used to. I make lunch, eat, and sit down for a quick second to check the board, and fifteen minutes goes by before I even realize it!

I can honestly say that up until a month ago or so when I found Ivillage and this board, that any human interaction I had on the net was pretty much just from work and distant relatives.

Any suggestions? Funny enough, iVillage does not offer a board for board addiction :) LOL

I can completely understand what you are saying! I LOVE this board. But I have never been a Playgroup board type of person. I like that we can have some major disagreements on this board, but typically they aren't "mean". Whereas on a playgroupy board, God forbid you disagree with someone because that is "wrong"...lol.

This board has been a LIFE SAVER for me this week. I HATE being cooped up in the house for days and days and days and days...oh, well, you get the point. And today, hubby is gone ALL day long making up for appointments he missed while home with me. And I'm sooooo lonelyyyyyyyy today!!!! I had planned to get out and grab some lunch, go buy the two new books that came out this week that I want, and get my nails done today, then come home and rest, but I was hurting so bad, I had to take a pain pill, and can't drive. But I'm not sleepy either, the crap on tv is trash, and I can't clean out the closets like I want to right now b/c I can't lift or stretch yet. :(

I do think I'm going to need a 12 step program after this week though! lol
