And "a lot" is more than one (word).

The misuse of an apostrophe! That makes me crazy. It gives a word a completely different meaning, lol.

Add the word "our" and "are" to your list.

I'm Catholic and (as you know) most of our churches are named after saints. Well, we have this tendency to add " 's" onto the end of the saint's name, such as, "We're going to St. Martha's" like she owns the church or something. Good thing I go to St. Pius. The "s" is already there so people don't have to add it. :o)

There is a grocery store here call "Haggen". But everyone does the same thing, and calls it "Haggen's". I'm always correcting people. :o

I can see these things being "pet peeves" but I could never imagine that I would let them "bother me" or that I would correct someone IRL about them-lol!!!
