People that wake up everyday to sunshine regardless of the actual weather, whose lives look peachy perfect b/c of their demeanor, whose energies and smiles motivate you or make you want to strangle them...

Or do you?

<<No, not really. She didn't really have a "schedule" since SHE IS RETIRED lol.>>

You were just taking about her schedule which includes; scheduled excerise classes, lunches with friends and other things....now she doesn't have any of that?

<<I find it hard to believe that she doesn't do basic research on the area, check flight/transport times and have to work around those schedules.

No, not really.>>

How does that work then...she just shows up at the airport and demands for an airline to take her where she wants to go when she wants to go?  Or does she hire a private plane?  What happens when something isn't open and she wants to go?   Can she just show up at a popular restaurant and expect to be seated?

<<Why? I was not only talking about coming to visit me and my family.>>

I'm curious, you know since nothing stops (time, money, nothing!) her with schedules...I would think that she sees family on a regular basis, fairly often in fact.

Maybe some people get used to "routine".  But IME, a flexible schedule is ideal with young children.

It must be worth it to work your butt off at seventy if you're spending like that.

Things can be moved around to allow for all of them.

Most often when she wants to go someplace, there is a flight scheduled. Not sure why that is a hard concept to grasp.

Why would you think my husband is "working his butt off," Jamblessed? He's doing what he enjoys. And, we've reached a stage in our lives where we can spend money on what we enjoy, too. Were grateful.

Did you hear about the ceo that still uses a flip phone?  Or the doctor that drives a ford?  When we bought our first volvo the salesman told us this story about this college professor that bought one for himself then never went back to any other car, he later bought one for his kid etc.  I love the stories behind what people buy and why, Lol.

Anytime. We will have another next year as it is now our "annual" party lol. It is going to be shoulder to shoulder in our house. Trying to get the kids to play downstairs, set it all up for them.

My husband would probably still have a flip phone if it were up to him. I got him a smart phone last time we upgraded, and he liked it, but he probably would have used the flip phone until it died.

"Drove old cars (that people questioned if you were ok financially because of it)," ------- Why on earth would someone care what other people thought of a stupid car? My dad is quite wealthy as were my grandparents, and they all drove very humble cars, old ones too sometimes.

I'm not sure what routine has to do with balance, will you explain?  I agree a flexible schedule is ideal with young children, I was always a believer of a child led schedule when they were young and still holds true for older children as well, at least ime.

<<Things can be moved around to allow for all of them.>>

Exactly!  Working around schedules, thank you.

<Most often when she wants to go someplace, there is a flight scheduled. Not sure why that is a hard concept to grasp. >>

I don't know, because I don't have a private plane and I have to go with how the airlines schedule their planes, when hotels allow checkin, when restaurants have open tables, when museums are open and so on and so forth.   I don't believe the world revolves around me, shrug.

<<Yes she does, and?>>

Just asking, so she is there every month, every week?  How often is regular?

I don't know. Ask Bord whose friends and family commenting on the car her dh drove.

I think Warren Buffett drives a pretty low key car and I think he's on the top ten Forbes list, lol.  I think his board of directors would be complaining if a just graduated business student took his place to retire as flowers states!  Ha.

Mine would still have his if work didn't make him upgrade to a smart phone, lol!
