People that wake up everyday to sunshine regardless of the actual weather, whose lives look peachy perfect b/c of their demeanor, whose energies and smiles motivate you or make you want to strangle them...
Or do you?

She used money to extend the trips and to bring the entire family, so yes...they were paying their OWN money to do just that.

Please explain. I am not sure how the past history has changed.

Well, some of my travel and some of DH's travel has been business tested. But the kids have never been paid for by the school, and often we paid to extend our stats so we could tour around once the business part was over (such as DH taking an extra ten days in a France this fall with his sister).
"No, your balance was specifically for saving. That is why you limited yourself. Either that or you just did not make the salary enough to do both all the time." Yes, most people who are saving are also limiting their spending. If they aren't limiting their spending, they aren't saving.
No, not really. You CAN do both.

The extensions were not that long. The employee was paying the majority of the trips.
Because I think you might actually believe it!

Believe what?
How do you know this?

Why is saying you went to Europe boasting, Fall? Is saying you are going on a cruise boasting? How about Canada? Can I say I am going to Canada this summer, Lord Willing, boasting?
You are throwing it out there. I am not and I pay for my vacations. You have said that your employer pays for yours.
I have been to Canada too. Just a day trip though on a company plane but that really didn't impress me and I never tried to impress anyone with that info either.
"The extensions were not that long. The employee was paying the majority of the trips." And you know this....how?
You just stated it in your other post.
No really, Morty. If you are saving 10% of your income and tithing, you are limiting your spending to 80% of your income. If you are saving 1%, you are limiting your spending to 99%.
What does this post go to or did you just throw this out?
"You have been throwing out a lot of numbers lately. Any numbers for this?" Our savings goal for retirement had been to retire without needing to make any change in our spending habits.
So no REAL numbers to throw out when you were my age since you think you accomplished more financially than we have?
No, my employer does not pay for my "vacations." My employer pays for work-related travel. Whoa, it's good to know I can talk about our upcoming trip to Canada and it won't be considered boasting or trying to impress anyone.
No, my employer does not pay for my "vacations." My employer pays for work-related travel. Mejia, it's good to know I can talk about our upcoming trip to Canada and it won't be considered boasting or trying to impress anyone.
My bad, your "travel" is paid for. Gotcha.
