People that wake up everyday to sunshine regardless of the actual weather, whose lives look peachy perfect b/c of their demeanor, whose energies and smiles motivate you or make you want to strangle them...

Or do you?

My numbers wouldn't mean anything without your numbers and I wouldn't believe you anyway, and you probably wouldn't believe me.

"You just stated it in your other post." That was an example, not my entire travel/work history.

"What does this post go to or did you just throw this out?" It goes to the posts where you are claiming that you can save without limiting your spending.

"Somehow I really doubt you've accomplished in terms of savings/investments what we'd accomplished by the time we were your combined ages, Fall. "

My numbers wouldn't mean anything without your numbers and I wouldn't believe you anyway, and you probably wouldn't believe me.

So you can say the above statement but have nothing to back it up?

I never said entire. A big chunk of it over the years, correct?

And again, you went from one extreme to the next. I have stated you can have a balance. Your focus has always been on savings and to me, that is not a balance.

"So you can say the above statement but have nothing to back it up? ". Well, I've been listening to you for a long time. Nothing you've said indicates significant investment assets or investment income.

I don't put my entire life out there all the time, unlike yourself.

"And again, you went from one extreme to the next. I have stated you can have a balance. Your focus has always been on savings and to me, that is not a balance." No, we really haven't gone from one extreme to the next. We have a balance we are comfortable with. Always have had. We've never had a balance you would like, but that's really OK, because, well, we aren't you!

No, we really haven't gone from one extreme to the next. We have a valance we are comfortable with. Always have had. No, I am only speaking of the example you put up. That was one extreme to the other. No middle ground. Middle ground is a balance.

Except the cruise your parents paid for and the cruise you won.

"I don't put my entire life out there all the time, unlike yourself." Oh, I still have my secrets, Fall. The only reason I told you how much we paid for the house is that it's public information anyway.

Did you win one of those vacations and didn't your parent pay for one of those vacations?

Maybe she is basing it on that old post where you posted your budget?

And it is public information how much a house is worth too.

Why come out with something like you did with no backup? If you truly think that is true, back it up with numbers.

"No, I am only speaking of the example you put up. That was one extreme to the other. No middle ground. Middle ground is a balance." Well, we believed we were achieving, and still achieve, a middle ground between wants and needs. The ground has shifted somewhat, but not drastically. Were spending about 10% more of our income these days.
