For your kids do you make sure to spend the same amount of money and get the same amount of gifts?

That's a tough situation. My DS is like that with DD. She's a pretty amazing kid, and succeeds in just about everything she attempts. I believe DS is actually more intelligent than DD, but he's 4 years younger, and he constantly compares himself to her. He was thrilled this summer when they needed an extra kid to practice with his soccer team, and a bunch of 8 year olds were running all over her.

I know my 14 year old understands my 12 year old...he gets it just has a hard time accpepting it...but its life...KWIM?

DH was the "number#1 son" so when it comes to his kids wrt gift giving...he can have that same mentality. ETA...

Iam still looking at them individually. when it comes to gift giving ..but i refuse to spend a lot more or give a lot more to one etc...but not the others. I spend a certain amount on each kid...i do the same thing at birthdays.
