I know this is going to come off selfish when so many others have true problems today (and every day) that I could not imagine dealing with but I thought this may be a fun thread.

I have the same pattern.

If I had enough place settings, I would definitely use it for holiday meals. It kind of seems silly to me to have them but not use them.

Yes, I always used the real stuff for everyone as well. Even as a baby, dd ate off a real plate and had a porcelain cup, not plastic. I just figured I wouldn't want to drink from plastic every day, so why should she.

I totally hear you!

I think that everyone is mildly irritated by it. It really doesn't effect anyone else like it does us. I would be willing to start w/out her...but Fil is IN CHARGE, and we don't do anything until everyone is there, even if he's pissy b/c they are late, lol.

I'd be tempted as well, but since I have small kids it wouldn't be fair of me to go all Scrooge on them. Christmas is all about them, anyway. :-)

Small world! I'm having a devil of a time lately adding onto this pattern because the department store doesn't carry it anymore.

I said I don't host Christmas Day, I have used my Christmas china a half dozen of times before Christmas and will use it again a few more before I pack it away for the season.
