I was reading about the Kansas City Secret Santa today and thought how much fun that would be. It made me start thinking what I would do if I had 40k to spare. So here are some questions.

1. If you had unlimited amounts of money, what type of Random Acts of Kindness would you do? At Christmas or otherwise.

2.

I think probably mine stemmed from "things I want to do right now and can't". So kind of imaginary random acts of kindness that would have happened had the money been in my account at the time.

That is horrible! I would love to do that, too...pick up the slack. We actually had this issue at our church this year, I don't know the stats, but there were a handfull of gifts left. We were able to take one extra, but not all of them...I would have loved to be able to do that!

well yeah randome is random...lol, those are the top of my list things...not random. i guess random for me would be visiting and spending time in a nursing home giving treats and gifts and a hospital too..some caroling too.

Well, yeah, I'm sure that the economy is partially to blame (although those stats came from previous years...not sure how far back) but if someone's not in a position to do it then they should return the angel to the tree, or not pick one up at all.

Oh, I think I missunderstood your op. THAT is terrible! One of the things that we've done, is take names of the people taking the ornaments, so there is some follow through with making sure that everyone gets their gifts.

Ooooh, besides meals on wheels, what about just spending time with people who are home bound (and presumabley lonely)?

Let the brain storming begin!

ITA with you that they should not have picked one if they did not intend to buy a gift.
