I was reading about the Kansas City Secret Santa today and thought how much fun that would be. It made me start thinking what I would do if I had 40k to spare. So here are some questions.

1. If you had unlimited amounts of money, what type of Random Acts of Kindness would you do? At Christmas or otherwise.

2.

I would rather have a company sell the CLOTHES to a thrift store or elsewhere to help needy families instead of getting the money to make rags that a private company in turn makes a profit off of selling the rags.

They do not sort out the good clothes either, it is all made into rags.

Again, the clothing is not sorted so "good" clothes that could be sold for little money or given away to the needy is ALSO being sold to make rags.

I want my "good, gently used" clothing to go to people who could really use it. I don't want 2 companies making profits off of the clothes and shoes I donate.

DH and I avoid Barnes and Noble. We always end up spending too much money if we go to that store together.

And I have recently become a huge fan of audio books. Our library subscribes to Overdrive, so I can download books for free. It's really great.

I can't imagine either of my kids saying that even at 3 years old, they really loved and still love books. And if they did, I would have been highly embarassed by those actions and would not have posted it on youtub, plus the discussions about being thankful....totally agree.
