I was reading about the Kansas City Secret Santa today and thought how much fun that would be. It made me start thinking what I would do if I had 40k to spare. So here are some questions.

1. If you had unlimited amounts of money, what type of Random Acts of Kindness would you do? At Christmas or otherwise.

2.

Hey, I'm making the cranberry salsa again tomorrow and I'm also running five miles (actually I think closer to six) in the morning.

When my youngest was a 3yo we have a cute Christmas story.

We told Nic that he could only open gift's that had his name on them. He got a sharpy and started writing Nic on all the unopened gifts.

Your post made me realize I need to clarify mine from earlier - when I said I'd feel like a failure as a parent if my child acted like this. That would be true if the child was older, but doesn't apply here, since he's so young. Where I'd feel I'd failed in a child this age, is if I didn't correct him and show him how to behave appropriately, and how to accept gifts graciously. I'd feel like a failure if I laughed, giggled, put it on youtube and had him interviewed on national television, as if this type of behavior is cute and endearing, rather than obnoxious and ungrateful.

BTW, even though you haven't been able to be happily married for the last 18 years, I am so happy that you were finally able to celebrate Christmas this year with the woman you love, as your WIFE, and hope that you have many years of wedded bliss ahead of you!

That's hilarious! That made me laugh so loudly I had to explain to my husband the whole conversation.

I did read those posts who were not enthralled with the video as being unimpressed with the parents, not judgmental of the child (which is how I feel, too). I only felt the need to be very specific about it in my post because I do have a child I could see doing that.
