1. If you had unlimited amounts of money, what type of Random Acts of Kindness would you do? At Christmas or otherwise.

2.

uh huh.... well as the head of Goodwill Industries of Northern New England is a dear friend of mine, and the fact that many of mymom's former students were employed by Goodwill, and considering I actually do know how to look up their best practices and donation practices

We had that with book bins recently. It was a for-profit reseller, but they made the bins say something similar to "Friends of the Library" so they looked kinda legit. The library ran a bunch of articles and ads telling people that they were not associated with those bins. I found it interesting, however, that the library didn't say anything negative about the bins - they didn't disparage them because they were for-profit -- they simply cleared up any misconceptions. The main message was "If you think you are donating to the Friend of the Libary - the public libarary - you're not. I fyou want to donate to us, do so by XYZ, not the bins."

To jump off of your post; I really wonder about those who donate clothing and items that have to be sold for rags and scrap by the charity.
