it's great that you move around all day but excercising involves more than just moving -- it involves getting your heart rate to accelerate to an appropriate healthy exercising rate (there are numerous charts you can find -- I aim for 180-190 b/c i'm big) for an extended period of time -- it's not just walking down the hall or up the stairs at work or even parking the car far from the door of the store -- although all those things contribue to overall health and we should all do them -- some kind of consistent exercise at a minimum of 30 minutes a day for a minimum of 5 days a week is reccommended. it doesn't have to even be 30 consecutive minutes -- but simply walking and moving as part of your dailing life is not the same thing.
Here's what motivates me to excercise beyond the enjoyement and health benefits I get from it -- my health insurance plan has an online rewards system -- for every day I exercise at least 30 mintues (I have to pick from their approved list of exercises -- which is very comprehensive) I earn 10 rewards points. At certain levels I can cash them in for prizes (of course with the insurers name on it but who cares) -- I've gotten a phenomenal backpack, a HUGE gym bag with cool multile compartments, a toiletry bag, an mp3 player, and a lunch cooler. Kelly has gotten a 3 wheeled scooter and a backpack -- right now I'm working toward a car vacuum. It keeps me going and I get weekly reminders if I haven't logged in with my exercise.
On weeks I have Liza it's harder of course so I try to go to the gym on my lunch hour or Liza and I take walks together -- the weeks I don't have her I try to be at the gym at least 5 mornings by 6am and walk the other 2 days. That is when It's not cycling season for me...;-)
Yes. We. Did.
LOL, preach it sista.
I weighed about 20 more pounds than I do now when I ran a marathon. I'm sure you know how hard it was for me to go into running stores and get sneakers and gear during my training, explaining what they were for, etc. At 175 I always felt like they were sizing me up, like yeah right fattie, you're running a marathon.
I never lost weight throughout my training.
Yes. We. Did.
Its the type of sugar that is in the drink.
Thanks. You had 229 so I wasn't sure what you meant.
I meant that it does not say what "kind" of sugar in the Nutrition Facts. After reading the ingredients is when you can see what kind they are specifying.
