In an effort to make food in schools healthier, some school districts have actually banned cupcakes at school birthday celebrations.

I agree, if my children were not as physically active as they are on a daily basis, I would have to change the way we look at food as well.

Thank you for clarifying.

I was always 120-125 in h.s. 4 years after h.s. when I got married, I was 130 pounds. I gained 23 pounds by the time I got pregnant 4 years later (153 lbs). At 9 months pregnant I was 175 pounds. After giving birth (9 weeks, actually) I lost 25 pounds (down to 150 lbs.). 3 years later I started ww and lost 30 pounds-down to 120. I am now 135 as after my 2nd child I was not strict with doing the ww and would like to lose another 10 pounds.
I'll agree that losing 30 pounds but not being considered overweight seems a bit odd.
You *don't* think exercise helps maintain a healthy weight, or in weight loss, past a "certain age?" On what do you base that completely erroneous hypothesis?
"...live a lifetime hearing remarks like that and then see how glibly you fling them out...."
Hear, hear!! I've been intensely watching what I put into my mouth for 2.5 years and excersizing less than I should but more than I had been previously and I can't get the dang scale to budge.
I think what I got out of ww was how to eat healthy and how to cut down on what you eat. I eat 23 points a day. I eat fruits and vegetables but I am also allowed to have a sweet if I stay in my points. I am eating healthier because I am not eating bad AND eating a sweet. I drink lots of water also.
