In an effort to make food in schools healthier, some school districts have actually banned cupcakes at school birthday celebrations.

Your argument is illogical. If exercise will assist in maintaining weight it obviously does something and will equally help in losing weight.

Where did you hear that? I know many people who have joined that were not overweight and just wanted to lose some weight. This is from their website:

This is from my 5'6" tall

"Assessment
What's a healthy weight for you?

Your weight range is 124 to 148 pounds.

Are you five pounds or more above your healthy weight? Have you gained a few pounds as an adult? Get the motivation and knowledge you'll need to achieve a healthier weight with Weight Watchers."

I was 150 pounds when I started ww.

AND....who said I ever went to the meetings? I never did. I had friends who went to the meeetings or ones who just joined, got all the books and slides and we did it together. The meetings are more for support and help to get through losing the weight. We had about 6 or 7 of us at work alone and I had friends doing it at the same time so we did weekly weigh ins and made ww foods to learn to eat healthier.

Read my post #510 and then read PussB's post #109 and that should explain things.

All those posts show is that you believe this thing which is completely contrary to everything science knows about metabolism. But it doesn't explain WHY you think that. Those posts show me that you think exercise does not help with weight loss after a certain age. But it doesn't explain WHY you think that. Since it makes zero sense physiologically, there must be something that got you to this conclusion. (Which is a wrong conclusion, BTW).

Actually, it doesn't. 240mL (8oz.) of Coca Cola has 27g of carbohydrates (sugars) and 200mL (a little less than 8oz.) of Capri Sun has 26g of sugars.

LOL, well, you could back your assertion with something, for example, and then we could have a debate.
