In an effort to make food in schools healthier, some school districts have actually banned cupcakes at school birthday celebrations.

Aren't your kids allergic to bagels and cream cheese?

why bring in cupcakes and treats to the class at all when those are the same children going to the birthday party on the weekend?

Those kids are not all going to the party on the weekend.

Okay I was being sarcastic with the word "asking" what I was trying to say is i think going after the root of the problem would be better served for EVERYONE!!!!

I don't believe anyone established that "the root" of the problem behind the cupcake ban was HFCS. From what I gathered, it's just a hassle teachers don't want to and shouldn't have to deal with. And I see no problem with schools banning something that causes more trouble than the good to be derived from it.

As has been firmly, clearly and unarguably established, any parent objecting to the cupcake ban is fully able to make cupcakes at home and serve them to her child and anyone else's child she invites over, at will. Thus negating any "need" to have cupcakes at school. And as Felicia claimed and not a single one of you disagreed with, apparently cupcakes only take 15 minutes to make.

So I'm unclear why anyone would be all hot and bothered about a cupcake ban at school.

I don't think Felicia was counting the baking time since you do not have to sit and stare at it rise.

I am now in an 8 or 10, really a 9. I think 120 was a little too thin for me as my face thinned out too much and 140 is too much (fit in 10's but tight).

My mil is going to make cupcakes today for my dd's birthday party tonight! Shall I ask her to set the timer so we can get a neutral 3rd party timing on that! ROFL!

With mixing, pouring into all the little cups putting them out to cool & then actually frosting them, my time (if I was doing it) has to be more than 15 mere minutes! And lest we forget about cleanup time!

Yes, my son is allergic to the cream cheese - we brought soy butter in for him.
