I've been thinking about the recent discussion about "opinions" and the Imus case comes to mind as an example, an extreme example for sure...but an example none the less.

<<But it also says "Had Boys, Have Boys, Thinking About Boys" at the beginning, which implies to me that the person writing this thought that other people would read it and say "yup, boys will be boys." What about the little boy that doesn't do these types of things? Couldn't he feel that he must not be normal if he doesn't like to do stuff like that?>>
As a mother of boys, I read it thinking...yep, did that, that, that, not that, that....well, you get the idea.

So it's okay if I were to write a joke something like:
All the blondes I work with--
call the tech guys to fix their computers when they simply needed to be turned on.
--insert other blonde jokes here--
and send to anyone who knows blondes or is blonde.
Since it is based on *my* experience and is 100% true for me, it's okay, right?
