I've been thinking about the recent discussion about "opinions" and the Imus case comes to mind as an example, an extreme example for sure...but an example none the less.

I'm not laughing at their expense-- just at my experiences. You know to chuckle over the experience of having a tech guy come to fix a computer in our office because it wasn't turned on.

Laugh at others? A joke perhaps but not at anyone in perticular. If a person has the problem with the joke, it really is not my problem, FTR, I would not choose to tell a racist or religious joke. A blonde joke, i always poke fun at my blonde moments. So yeah if someone takes a blonde joke to heart, imo, it is their problem.

They aren't your experiences, it wasn't your computer, it wasn't you.

If it's funny and you get a laugh out of it, because after all that's the point of a joke, why not tell it?

Oh so in your scenerio it is better to play victim?"

I'm sorry but where exactly did I even *allude* to that? What I said was its not relevant. Whether or not you swear back at someone who swears at you, or yell back a racial slur, is irrelevant to this entire post. It has sweet yuck all to do with what Imus said and if its racist.

"Every poll conducted that I have seen has the public disagreeing with the firing of Imus."

Show me one....

"I think it is hypocritical to complain about an old white man saying something yet you give a pass to your favorite rapper for an equally derogative term."

Again, irrelevant. And where did I say I 'gave a pass?" In fact you *asked* me if I thought what they said was racist and I said.....yes. Get over it.

No. Just like in your joke, it wasn't the mom that sprayed dust bunnies with hair spray and ran over them in rollerblades.

I haven't commented on what kinds of jokes I find funny.

But apparently sexist jokes are funny to you . . .

Well im not a very good joke teller, iam better at making jokes about myself. Honestly to answer your question, it is not my style to be telling racist jokes that is why i dont tell them. ALthough if someone told one, it is a joke im not going get offended, why would i. the only thing i may do is fiqure out that the person telling the joke is a prejudice creep or a idiot or whatever.

I dont get offended to easily and a joke, certianly is not going to offend me personally.

I have to many other thing to worry about then getting offended by others jokes, opinions views ect.

Sorry, my respopnse was in relation to the board. In general, i do not make fun of ppl, just not my thing, although i love a great joke and do not view a joke as making fun of ppl but just joking around. I see it as harmless humor, for the most part.

I'm sorry, I thought you were comparing them to my jokes and what I found funny.
