I've been thinking about the recent discussion about "opinions" and the Imus case comes to mind as an example, an extreme example for sure...but an example none the less.

Here's a link to one of the many stories about this issue

So you believe that anyone can joke about someone's race, religion and physical appearance, if it's funny...it's okay.

I think i already answered this question. Yes, i think it is their problem. If they do not like the joke they are not forced to listen. they can walk away or ignore them.

Ppl are not responsible for other ppl feelings emotions and issues. If you dont like it dont listen, or dont engage yourself with the offensive person, it is pretty simple.

I personally do not get offended too easy and if i think a person is offensive, I do not give them the time of day. They are not worth my time. :)

Just like it's my hypothetical coworker. I'm part of the experience.

I'm not following. I was making an observation about the joke you posted. What does that have to do with what I find funny?

<>

And many people who enjoy dumb blonde jokes would find them equally funny if you substituted brunette for blonde. As the joke is written, it perpetuates stereotypes of boys. It implies that girls do not do those types of things. It's sexist.

My guess is, because she's not an uptight stick in the mud, that takes everything too seriously? Keep in mind, I am only commenting on what mom2fourgirls is not.

Prove it, because I believe I characterized your tactic repeatedly and correctly.

Again, I believe I characterized your statements as a redirect from the germane topic and poor debate tactic - well within TOS, but report if you feel personally attacked.

Yes they do, we have very interesting discussions.

Of course it does.

Not on the sense you commented on, but you know that.

He made a racial slur and that was determined to a racist comment by the targets of that comment - I specifically remember stately that I did not believe that Imus was a self-aware racist - The comment was racist. I never said Imus was a racist. He did demonstrate by this comment, apologize repeatedly, for his racial intolerant speech.
